Tangkoko Batuangus Bitung National Park, better known as Tangkoko National Park, is one of the leading natural tourism destinations in North Sulawesi. Established in 1981, the park covers an area of around 8,700 hectares and is home to a variety of rare and unique endemic flora and fauna.

*Biodiversity*
Tangkoko National Park is famous for its rich biodiversity. One of the most famous inhabitants is the Tarsius tarsier, the world's smallest primate that can only be found in parts of Southeast Asia. In addition to tarsiers, the park is also home to various other species such as the Sulawesi black macaque (Macaca nigra), hornbills, and the Sulawesi bear cuscus.

The park has various types of ecosystems, ranging from lowland forests, mountain forests, to beaches and mangrove forests. The dense and diverse vegetation creates an ideal habitat for many species of plants and animals.
